Mission

Sebastopol Berry Farm was started in 1986 by Tarcicio and Sabina Vigil who purchased Green Valley Farms. (Green Valley planted the first blueberries in California in 1940.)

We are a small family farm with everyone involved in either selecting varieties, picking berries or selling them at local farmers markets. Since 1986 the farm expanded into other types of berries such as raspberries, blackberries and strawberries.

We are dedicated to growing the most flavorful berries, picking them at their peak and offering them fresh directly to our customers.

2013 Season Right Around the Corner

The on and off again changes in the weather have managed to keep the season on track.

The first crop of red and golden raspberries are ripening now.  Picked the first handful yesterday.

The blueberries and black raspberries are developing nicely.

Picked a few boysenberries and blackberries of early bearing varieties this morning.  Small but sweet and flavorful.

Ollalie and Marion blackberries, later season berries we grow, are blooming right now.

We hope to be back at the Sonoma County farmers markets in a few weeks.  Once we are in full season, we'll head back to our regular markets in San Rafael, Palo Alto and St Helena to name a few.

Stay tuned as we gear up for the season!
