Mission

Sebastopol Berry Farm was started in 1986 by Tarcicio and Sabina Vigil who purchased Green Valley Farms. (Green Valley planted the first blueberries in California in 1940.)

We are a small family farm with everyone involved in either selecting varieties, picking berries or selling them at local farmers markets. Since 1986 the farm expanded into other types of berries such as raspberries, blackberries and strawberries.

We are dedicated to growing the most flavorful berries, picking them at their peak and offering them fresh directly to our customers.

Berry Update #5

This week has been rather overcast and cold at the farm. Blackberries are slow to ripen but this may help the raspberries come in sooner.

Blueberries - ~1-2 weeks to go in the season

Blackberries - Triple Crown in season now. Beautiful berries! Chester variety is starting to ripen too. Marion Blackberries - had a few yesterday in Palo Alto. Cherokee - second harvest is light so we'll have limited quantities at the markets next week.

Red Raspberries - Just starting to come back into season. We have a few red raspberries so stop by the farmers markets early if you're interested in these.

Golden and Orange raspberries - give these a few more weeks.

Farm stand open today between 11-3pm. We have a new batch of blueberry ice cream for you to enjoy.

Rainbow of raspberries

Raspberries come in many colors. Red raspberries are the most common. Earlier this week we introduced you to the golden raspberries, now it's time to meet the orange, purple and black raspberries. We'll be at the Sebastopol Farmers Market Sunday with red, golden, orange and black raspberries. This is one of the few weeks of the year all these varieties are in season at the same time. Come try them out!

Berries, Berries, Berries....

This Sat we had blueberries, raspberries (red and golden), strawberries and blackberries at the Santa Rosa Farmers Market. Take a look at the wonderful selection we have of berries.
